Our all-volunteer Board of Directors consists of members who contribute their expertise to help guide the direction and mission of the credit union. Members in good standing, age 18 an older, are eligible to run for a three-year term.
This year, three seats are open for the 2026-2028 term with four candidates running:
Greg Croarkin
Greg joined the credit union in 2009 as a member of Local #290. Greg coaches baseball and softball, is a dad to two girls who are as smart as they are beautiful and is an avid home brewer. Previously Greg worked as a Foreman for Local #350 in Reno, taught apprenticeship classes and was nominated to run for President of the local. Currently Greg is an active member of Local #290 serving on the PAC and VOC Committees. When Greg isn’t working or volunteering, you’ll find him relaxing at Ron Tonkin Field taking in a Hillsboro Hops game.
Eric Bien
Eric has been a member of the credit union since 2017. After working out of a local in California, Eric transferred to Local 290 in 2016. You’ll often see him volunteering at the Local 290 union meeting night. In his free time, he loves playing and listening to music. Eric plays many musical instruments including a sax, bassoon, and guitar. In addition to music, Eric loves to cook, barbeque and smoke meat, make home brew, and garden.
Don Burton
Don has been a dedicated union member for 40 years, transferring to Local 290 in 2000. He currently serves as the foreman at Boeing’s Gresham facility, overseeing HVAC systems and process equipment. Outside of work, Don enjoys spending time with his family, off-roading with his Jeep club—having tackled trails like the Rubicon and Moab—and staying active at his gun club for over 15 years.
Phillip Clark
Phillip began his construction career after graduating high school, relocating from Louisiana to Oregon in 1999, and gained broad experience in warehouse, retail, and small fabrication shops, primarily in nonunion environments. After joining a union shop, he was elected by peers to serve two terms as Treasurer. In 2017, following welding school and several years as a welder‑fabricator, Phillip entered the apprenticeship program, bringing a strong appreciation for the impact of trade unions and an understanding of the transition into union membership. He has since served on the Negotiating Committee, Bylaws Committee, and as a Shop Steward, with a particular focus on the Apprentice Resource Committee, helping connect members to mental health and suicide awareness resources. Phillip values building a union culture that educates, supports, and strengthens working families.
