Overdraft protection to set you up for success.
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough available funds in your checking account to cover a transaction. We understand life happens, and everyone can sometimes make a mistake or encounter financial challenges. Our overdraft protection options can help.
1. Transfer from another United Trades account or loan.
If you have money in another account at the credit union, we can automatically transfer enough to cover a withdrawal.
- You can set up automatic transfers from another account, such as a savings account, to cover your overdraft.
- You can also set up automatic transfers from a line of credit or credit card to cover your overdraft.
2. Courtesy Pay
This option will draw your account negative, up to your approved limit, to cover a withdrawal. If you also choose to set up automatic transfers from another account, Courtesy Pay will not come into play unless there is not enough funds in your designated account(s) to cover the overdraft transaction.
- Your approved limit will begin 60 days after your checking account is opened. This limit is subject to change.
- There is a fee for each Courtesy Pay overdraft transaction. Review our current fee schedule posted on the Disclosures and Forms page.
- You’re responsible for bringing your account positive again.
- Choose if you want your Debit and ATM card transactions to be included, or not.
